Supporting Maui's Recovery

The Hawaii Department of Human Services (DHS) supports people and communities throughout the state and led a number of key recovery efforts in the wake of 2023's devastating Maui wildfires. We work with DHS to help ensure information gets to the people that need it, sharing key details about resources, connecting families with assistance, and helping to support the community’s recovery from this unprecedented disaster.

Leading on Climate-Smart Solutions

The National Audubon Society is focused on implementing sustainable, climate-smart agriculture and forestry practices that will help to both protect biodiversity, including birds, and mitigate climate change. Working lands (including farms, forests, and ranches) are a crucial part of this conservation strategy and make up about half the land in the Lower 48 states—and they represent one of the best hopes for conservation.

We partner with Audubon to build support policies that reflects the importance of working lands and sustainable, climate-smart agriculture and forestry practices that protect biodiversity– and our planet.
